UMA WANG 2016秋冬系列，是一场权力的游戏。原本用于表现截然不同气质的面料与衣物，被Uma Wang巧心整合到一起，探索了当代女性气质复杂的多面性，以及权力感的不同出口。飒爽豪迈的军旅风格，与婉约浪漫的贵族风格，这两种截然背道而驰的女性气质，呈现了矛与盾的博弈之美。军绿和浅金，工装和丝绒，简约帅气的军装和饱含中世纪浪漫情怀的提花，Uma Wang首次使用拼接的手法，将Uma Wang标志性的精美面料，与出人意料的功能面料共置，充满了精彩的戏剧张力。
For AW 2016, Uma Wang explores a very physical relation between a romantic emotion and a military feel. Cracked, felted, polished and waxed, the fabrics evolve between the poetry and preciousness of Renaissance patterns and thehonesty and simplicity of utilitarian clothes. The contamination of the matter enhances the contrasts of the outerwear, with the front panel in pinstripe wool and the back in brocade, and of the wide-cut trousers in military fabric withmatching velvet blazers with floral prints. The rigorous shapes of the uniforms are mellowed by wide skirts with paper lining, the softness of knitwear with asymmetric cuts or long, silk gowns. The bold hues of green, brown and blackare blended in with red pink and gold, creating a space where power and fragility stand as one and exploring the codification of Romanticism and the masculine beauty of the military wardrobe.
Con la collezione Autunno Inverno 2016 Uma Wang esplora la relazione fisica tra un'emozione romantica e un sentimento militare. Alcuni lacerati, altri in feltro o rifiniti a cera, i tessuti si evolvono tra la poesia e la preziosità di modellirinascimentali e tra l'onestà e la semplicità di abiti funzionali. La contaminazione della materia esalta i contrasti, nei capispalla con fronte in lana gessata e retro in broccato, nei pantaloni ampi in tessuto militare abbinati a giacche invelluto con stampa floreale. Le forme rigorose delle divise si addolciscono nelle ampie gonne dagli interni in carta, attraverso la morbidezza della maglieria dai tagli asimmetrici, o negli abiti lunghi in seta.
Le tonalità decise del verde, del marrone e del nero si mescolano al rosso carminio e all’oro creando uno spazio in cui il potere e la fragilità si presentato come in tutt'uno ed esplorano insieme i codici del romanticismo e la bellezzamaschile del guardaroba militare.
